Dear readers,
I am giddy with gratitude as I share that Stephanie and I have contributed an article to the most recent publication of the Arrow Journal: The Power of the Pluriverse, titled Community Dreamwork as Pluriversal Practice.
In September 2024, Stephanie wrote a post about dreamwork as pluriversal practice and not too long after, she emailed me that there was a call for workshop presenters for an upcoming symposium in October by Courage of Care, called Practice for the Pluriverse. Several months later, here we are, sharing about our contribution to Courage of Care’s Arrow Journal. Coincidence, I think not!
On this journey of exploring dreamwork as pluriversal practice within our on-going journey of community dreamwork, Stephanie and I were consistently in awe and appreciation for the accompaniment of our dreams; one another and our friendship; the many dreamers whose stories and inspirations we have woven into the writing; our more-than-human kin, the Land, and Guides from unseen realms; and the incredible editors, Ashley and Brooke. This experience has been a community work dream come true.
In the essay, we explore various themes, much of which have been explored in our substack posts:
Our Stories of Community Dreamwork as Reclamation
Community Dreamwork as Decolonial Praxis
Community Dreamwork as Hospicing Modernity
Community Dreamwork as Healing Imaginal Capacity
Community Dreamwork as “A Living Bridge”
Community Dreamwork as Embodied Metabolism
Community Dreamwork as Noticing and Sensing
Community Dreamwork with No Guarantees
Dreamwork Sparks Movements for Collective Liberation
Community Dreamwork as Pluriversal Practice
A Closing Blessing
May we befriend our dreams and
welcome their accompaniment as we
hospice what is and
midwife what wants to be.
